HOPS EMS is actively seeking volunteer Emergency Medical Responders (formerly First Responders) & EMT's.
An application may be found on our website in the left hand tabs, or you may request one by contacting Captain Charles Dull at (570) 744-1566. Effective 7/1/2015, all applicants must consent to and successfully pass a criminal background and child abuse clearance check.
HOPS EMS has been serving the community as a BLS (basic life support) provider since 1976. Originally serving the four townships of Herrick, Orwell, Pike, and Stevens, HOPS EMS now serves an extended area that includes the above townships plus parts of Rome Boro, Warren and Windham townships, with additional support offered to surrounding areas as needed. In 2013, due to an expanding coverage area, HOPS grew to include a second ambulance thanks to the generosity of the former Windham Ambulance Association.
HOPS EMS is completely volunteer-run, with over 20 active members currently on it's roster that includes EMT's and First Responders. To receive a volunteer application, please contact Charlie Dull at (570) 744-1566. To donate, please make check or money order payable to HOPS c/o James Seipler, 6185 Herrickville Road, Wyalusing, PA 18853. For membership information, please use the Membership Information link in the main menu.
